The new Toggle Button allows you to decide which screen will have chat turned on and receive chat messages. This will help you decide which of your screens will receive notifications when you have multi-sesssions.
When you log in to your account you'll find the Toggle Buttons on your home page under the tab 'MyComputers'.

The CrossLoop Team is super excited to introduce the new version 2.75.
We would like to thank all of our users who have given us great feedback and requested features. Feedback has come in via FaceBook, Twitter, our blog, via email and on calls.
Our engineering team has been working hard to make all these new changes come true and we are really pleased to offer an enhanced user experience for our users. With a mix of 21 improvements and new features, we have optimized the Screen Sharing connection, added an all new Self-Test prior to a real session and built an app for sharing session feedback on Facebook and Twitter. If you haven't already tried it, you can now download the new client 2.75 free from any downloadaround the CrossLoop website, from an Expert's profile or in "Share Screens" in Chat.
Here's an exclusive video interviewwith Tom Rolander, founder and Principal Engineer of CrossLoop. He shares his opinions about the greatest improvements and also reveals a hint of what we can expect in the future from the Engineering Team at CrossLoop.
Switch to version 2.75 now to enjoy the newest features.
CrossLoop new version 2.75 offers a new feature, the Share Self Test. It checks your computer to make sure you’re able to screen share when you need to receive or provide support.
This new function simulates a screen sharing mode to verify the ‘sharing capability’ of the software client. You will be notified instantly if your machine’s settings would prevent you from sharing your screen. This Pro-Active self test will automatically run the first time you use 2.75. If you get a ‘Self Test Failed’ notification, this allows you to change, for instance your Anti-Virus settings, prior to a real session, so that your screen sharing session will start without any bumps on your side when you need it. Changing your Anti-Virus settings to: ‘Always allow this program to run’, might be all it requires to get ready.
You can manually run the Self Test from the menu, to detect any setting changes that need to be changed for a successful sharing session, useful for instance if you install new security software on your machine.
Here at CrossLoop we want to make screen sharing simple, fast and easy to use. We know our users have more difficult tasks to handle once they are connected, so why make connecting difficult? We asked a few of our users for feedback on CrossLoop and what they felt could make it faster, easier and simple to use.
We took the feedback and implemented it. The result is a new edition of CrossLoop! We like to call this: CrossLoop Express(Beta)!
Here is a quick video with CrossLoop Express in action:
With CrossLoop Express you can collaborate on homework, teach a new tool to your friends/family and even trouble shoot their computers if they need it!
CrossLoop Express still gives you all the things you love about CrossLoop and more:Publish
Simple web interface with chat to explain what issues you are experiencing.
Simple temporary install that removes its self after the session is over.
Now that you know CrossLoop Express give it a try here! Also please forgive us if there are few hiccups as we are still in Beta :)
We all know Apple just announced the largest quarterly earnings in over four years with the combined sales of the iPhone, iPad and Mac computer. Well, we heard the rumble and prepared for the roar of Mac's growth by updating our Home and Pro subscription features to support all Mac computers.
How is this valuable for CrossLoop users?
For Experts:
Before?
Our Home and Pro features did not support Mac computers, limiting who you could help, which meant:
your screen-sharing sessions were only in real-time, leaving you at the mercy of your client's schedules as you couldn't use remote access.
when updating your client's system, the process of reconnecting to finish their installation process was arduous because you couldn't use auto-reboot.
Now?
You can access more customers on both PC and Mac, allowing you to:
fix your client's systems 24/7 using unattended access.
automatically reconnect with clients when you reboot their system after a product update/upgrade.
stay top of mind for your customers with your branding placed on their client footer.
For Customers?
We understand you are not necessarily helping other customers, but using the screen-sharing tool for work. As such, it can be frustrating when you're at work and realize you've left important files on your home computer.
Before?
It was an unthinkable task to get access to that home computer remotely - especially if your work system is a PC and your home is a Mac.
Today?
We've updated the features on our Home subscription giving you special pricing, access, and flexibility wherever you are, with the ability to:
access your computer's files from anywhere, 24/7 using unattended access.
keep it simple with 'one-click' connect access to those computers.
stay easily connected to your files with remote file transfers.
For both our Experts and Customers, we've stayed ahead of Mac growth curve, providing the tools you need to stay flexible and productive - every day!

We will reach 10 million
screen-sharing sessions in June and we’ve accomplished this in less than four
years. That’s a significant accomplishment for us and we’re excited to
celebrate such an impressive milestone with our users. We are proud to have
such engaged users of CrossLoop who have grown dramatically with over 7 million
downloads of our screen-sharing tool – a growth of over 600% since 2007. Our users collectively spend more than
300,000 minutes a day using CrossLoop, that’s 220 million minutes to date which
translates into over 400 years- increasing 110% in just one year! You can’t get more engaged than that!
This tremendous
activity showcases the consistent and recurrent usage of CrossLoop by our
users. This loyalty and engagement highlights the passion our community has in
helping and connecting with each other.
And that engagement continues to grow exponentially each day so for that THANK YOU!
We’re excited to share
this milestone with our users by offering a chance for two users to win a trip
to Monterey, California through our 10
Millionth Session Sweepstakes. We’ll fly our winners to Monterey for two days of
sight-seeing and a personal flight tour around Monterey with our founder, Tom Rolander. Visit our sweepstakes page for more details
on the program.
In the meantime, please watch our interview with John Zicker, CEO of
CrossLoop as he talks about reaching such a milestone and what reaching 10
million screen-sharing sessions means for CrossLoop and its community of users
– today and beyond.
One fundamental thing that drove the vision of CrossLoop for me was real people, real relationships - I fundamentally believe that a business process of speaking to a 'Mrinal' using 'Tom' as an identity is completely broken. In fact, fake identities can lead to law suits like that by Tony La Russa of the Cardinals against Twitter recently.
And that is the fundamental thing we provide to all - a platform to enable people to fix computer problems but most importantly, an opportunity for customers to know the real 'Mrinal' helping them. Our expert Helpers mostly use their own picture, their real name and have an individual link to their profile that one can go back to. This enables the customers to make an informed decision to go back again and again to 'Mrinal' and refer him/her to their friends and family through word-of-mouth assuming the service provided is excellent.
When did you last go to a attorney or an accountant who used an alias while doing business with you? When did you last go to another lawyer or attorney, with another alias, at the same firm for follow-up questions or sign them up for another year?
So you can imagine my excitement when I found this eMarketer report today that states the top overall customer priority named was service excellence, followed by building a trusting relationship.
But as rightly pointed out, trust is not as an easy thing to build - it takes time and commitment personally and professionally. I have personally written about this on my personal blog way back but Its a bit like having a cat versus a dog - the former lives well with asynchronous food and water left behind whereas the dog needs you to take them out on walks, runs and some tlc.
So when you build that trust and customers love you... yes, love you .... they tell their friends and family - each one of us consequently becomes a media for transportation of that event - I call that 'You Media' (a pun intended on new media)
The study goes on to speak more to what purchases are effected by word-of-mouth but I can assure you that the best brands, and our expert Helpers on CrossLoop are one, are built through it.
