Some Tips, Some Coverage and One Question

Here are a few things that I thought I would be relevant to summarize and some tips on CrossLoop based on inbound questions that I see:

Tips:

  • Full Screen: Minimize the use of scrollbars on CrossLoop by going to  the top left corner of your Viewer (when you are in control of someone else's desktop). Click on it and then select 'full screen' from the drop down
  • File Transfer of multiple files and folders: You can transfer multiple files or folders at any one time by using select, drag and drop  on to the CrossLoop User Interface on your computer. See details with screen shots here: http://www.crossloop.com/help.html#filetransfer
  • Basics on Getting Help: If you have someone who needs help the first time to establish a session with you, you can use this URL: http://www.crossloop.com/help.html#Host

International Media Coverage:
We are a small company with no PR Agency so when we are discovered, we really like to celebrate it a lot. Here are a couple of recent significant ones:

  • United Kingdom: PC Format. One of our users informed us (Thank You!) about  this article by Paul Townsend since it appeared in the hard copy. I could not find a URL for it so I have included the picture of the article titled: Take Control of Another Rig Over The Web (Click on thumbnail below to read it)

One Question:

Are you in the technical (computer malfunction, virus removal, home network management etc.) support business? Or maybe in the software/application (Quickbooks, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Vista etc.) support business? If Yes - I would personally love to talk to you. As we have said before, we love to listen and learn and this conversation will do exactly that and helps us to be closer to our users. As we work on some exciting things for the future, this conversation is to make sure that we record and document your needs and wants and keep those aligned with our product roadmap.

If this appeals to you, please leave a comment below this post or respond to this post if you are receiving it by email saying "I want to help". I promise to get to the first 10!

I look forward to taking this blog to a more personal level with many of you.

Good Afternoon and Good Luck!

CrossLoop is the first remote support product that I have actually used to assist members and users of a Technical Support Forum for which I currently volunteer my time (Vista and XP - mostly BSOD related problems). The other remote software products that I tested prior to finding CrossLoop never made it past the in-house testing phase (usually conducted with side-by-side laptops) as I found them rather complex in nature and less-than completely secure.

Furthermore, not even my own mother would allow remote computer help until CrossLoop. She, like many of my Financial and Government related industry (Sales Taxes/Audits, etc...) colleagues and friends, simply did not trust the other packages because of the sensitive data contained within their systems.

Now, however, with the many security features built within CrossLoop such as the random security code, desktop-background blackout, the handling of the Vista UAC, etc... - not to mention the ease-of-use, I get calls constantly asking me to "pop-on" to a system to help. This provides me with the ability to act and function in whichever “world” that I am required to be in - that of a Windows Vista/XP Software Trouble-shooter or that of a Tax/Accounting Policy expert. The net result is a “meeting of the minds” as we both can see in minutes exactly what may have taken hours to accomplish in the pre-CrossLoop era. The educational value on both ends is priceless.

CrossLoop is an excellent and awesome product. I have also found the customer support for CrossLoop to be nothing less than stellar as it is very prompt and extremely thorough. Thank you Dmitri.

I would love to help.

I would love to help.

I have been a software support technician for many years. In the beginning, the only way to help customers (and family/friends) was to talk to them on the phone while trying to mimmick their movement on my computer.

After working for a company that supports Microsoft accounting programs, I learned a variety of support tools including MSEasyAssist and GoToAssist. My current employer uses a variety of resources as well, including PCAnywhere and GoToMyPC.com. A while back someone found CrossLoop and our job was made simple.

We now ask our customers to download the program when possible and it makes updating their files so much easier.

I really like the security feature (only the host can begin the session) and the fact that this works with security shields like most big companies have.

I would be interested in helping out the cause and promoting this tool in anyway I can.

I have been using CROSSLOOP for a few months now and I tell you what a wonderfully awesome tool it is. I have been in need of IT assistance many a times and as many times my IT guy has been able to resolve my issues through the ability to tie in via CROSSLOOP. I am not very technically inclined, especially when it comes to computers. I have a mental block when it comes to that. I cannot help anyone technically, however, I can tell you that you will not regret using CROSSLOOP. Seriously.:)

I missed the question part of the message. I'm just blogger who repairs and works with PC's in my spare time. I'm no PC expert but I do enjoy learning stuff. Not sure how I could help but if there is something I could do I'd be glad to help.

PC Format - That was where my friend who reads that magazine found it and recommended it to me. Glad he did.

I would love to help in any way.

I want to help!

I am in a company that is having a crisis with its horrible remote-access solution to support our employees. I am going to try this out tomorrow and I would like to talk with you guys!

Hello, I am from Singapore and run a computer services company. We use your remote software frequently for callins. Sometimes, for no reason, I find the connection lagging, even though both the customer and I are with the same ISP. But today, I disabled/enabled the Mcafee firewall at the customer side. This dropped the crossloop connection. But after reconnection, the connection was super fast. wonder why

I too am in the Tech Support field (that is all I do) and have experience with several similar software packages. I have always found most or all of them difficult to use through a firewall however, unless they require installation and running of a server/service that must be activated by the end user. Your system aliviates that as they must only run an application on their desktop (I can set it there myself). I most certainly would love to work with you if you need any assistance.

I want to help!

I use remote access solutions frequently in my day job as a System Engineer for a software company.

I support people that are internal (employees) and external (customers) to my organization and have used tools like Webex, Remote Desktop, LogMeIn, etc. to provide support remotely.

I am also called upon by family & friends to provide support for all of their personal computing questions and troubleshooting needs.

We do a lot of remote support here, and your product shows a lot of promise. I'd like to help you where I can. :)

I want to help! :)
