CrossLoop Interview on WRLR 98.3FM

Techtalk We got really fortunate to be interviewed by Michael Kastler and Dave "Sparky" Saganaki, the hosts at TechTalk on WRLR 98.3FM. It is a local community radio station in the greater Round Lake area neighboring Chicago.

We shared many laughs and it was a great informal conversation. If you want to learn more about CrossLoop, our philosophy, our business model etc - you can go to the link here and click on 'Play' on the left. I called in at about the 11th minute and left on the 38th minute into the show. I did make sure I was ready for it though - showered, shaved ... some cologne...to make a great impression on the listeners. I promise that is not me on an early Saturday morning!

Good Afternoon and Good Luck!

CrossLoop Screencast - How it Works Video

One of the things being requested from our users is an easy way to understand how to use CrossLoop and interact with it and its features. For example, there is NO limit on the number of files and folders that can be shared between two users and you can do so with drag-and-drop - many do not know about it.

I have created a small screencast that walks one through all of it in detail. It begins with how to download and install the application to sharing files with it.

This should be an excellent tool for all of you who help your family or clients frequently - share this video with them and get on the phone only to help and that should save you a few more minutes since you will not have to walk them through the installation.

If you think there is anything missing, or if you are still facing difficulties, please do let me know

It is hosted on our "Everything CrossLoop" channel so sharing should be a breeze.

Good afternoon, Good Luck and have a fun weekend everyone!

Some Tips, Some Coverage and One Question

Here are a few things that I thought I would be relevant to summarize and some tips on CrossLoop based on inbound questions that I see:

Tips:

  • Full Screen: Minimize the use of scrollbars on CrossLoop by going to  the top left corner of your Viewer (when you are in control of someone else's desktop). Click on it and then select 'full screen' from the drop down
  • File Transfer of multiple files and folders: You can transfer multiple files or folders at any one time by using select, drag and drop  on to the CrossLoop User Interface on your computer. See details with screen shots here: http://www.crossloop.com/help.html#filetransfer
  • Basics on Getting Help: If you have someone who needs help the first time to establish a session with you, you can use this URL: http://www.crossloop.com/help.html#Host

International Media Coverage:
We are a small company with no PR Agency so when we are discovered, we really like to celebrate it a lot. Here are a couple of recent significant ones:

  • United Kingdom: PC Format. One of our users informed us (Thank You!) about  this article by Paul Townsend since it appeared in the hard copy. I could not find a URL for it so I have included the picture of the article titled: Take Control of Another Rig Over The Web (Click on thumbnail below to read it)

  • Germany: PC Welt (PC World in Germany) - We appeared on their homepage two days ago! Here is their coverage on us.

One Question:

Are you in the technical (computer malfunction, virus removal, home network management etc.) support business? Or maybe in the software/application (Quickbooks, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Vista etc.) support business? If Yes - I would personally love to talk to you. As we have said before, we love to listen and learn and this conversation will do exactly that and helps us to be closer to our users. As we work on some exciting things for the future, this conversation is to make sure that we record and document your needs and wants and keep those aligned with our product roadmap.

If this appeals to you, please leave a comment below this post or respond to this post if you are receiving it by email saying "I want to help". I promise to get to the first 10!

I look forward to taking this blog to a more personal level with many of you.

Good Afternoon and Good Luck!
