CrossLoop 1.11 - Now Downloading

As those of you who are following our activities closely are aware, we had a limited release for a week of our new version - v1.11 - through this blog here.

We had a lot of CrossLoop enthusiasts and those who had specifically asked for the new features take it for a drive. We listened to each and everyone closely and were excited to read the overwhelming positive response which now enables us to make it available to all so quickly.

Here are some comments from the testers that inspired this small team:

  • "I love it!!!!!!!!!"
  • "How can I get this program? It's great! Thanks!"
  • "No Problems what so ever, you have created a first class product. Having the ability to send files is no less than brilliant and so easy to do and the ability to switch control is superb."
  • "This version worked faster and much more reliably than previous version. Will definitely use again."
  • "WOW!!! An excellent program got even more useful! File Transfer is essential for my being able to assist my clients remotely"

You would probably be expecting me to end with the above but here are some comments that are equally important to us. Comments that enable us to listen, learn and improve to eventually make it ready for all of you:

  • "There was one problem. The host PC was running Vista and my PC was running XP. When I first connected, the Vista computer asked my co-worker to "Keep Blocking" or "Unblock". She chose "Unblock", but then it dropped our connection. However, we retried and everything worked perfectly. Thanks for this free file transfer function -- it will be so helpful to us!"
  • "I was connected for approx 23 minutes when the remote machine access quit. I performed a file transfer of 72 megs which took about 11 minutes and I have a 1 meg up-load connection and the other end has a 5 meg down. I was attempting to install printer software when the lock-up occurred. I also have pc-Anywhere on both machines and find the performance of CrossLoop to be superior. I have a new request, need remote printing support when you have a chance to develop. You are close to the perfect remote access software. Keep up the good work."
  • "A bug hampered one effort, but otherwise worked great!"

We read everything you write in, ask or suggest. We also try to respond to all of you so never hesitate giving us the feedback since the product is for you.

Finally, let me take a moment to thank:

  • First and foremost, all our users who took time to help us test the new version and give us some excellent feedback
  • The many bloggers who reviewed us and radio show hosts like Kastler who brought CrossLoop to  his listeners through his show on WRLR 98.3FM in Chicago
  • Our engineers who burnt the midnight oil to bring you this new version sooner rather than later. There would be no product without them
  • The families of all the CrossLoop employees who are continuing to let us work around the clock
  • My wife and daughter without whose relentless support, I would not be able to write this blog

Uh oh - I hear music......go ahead and download the new version with file transfer, switch control and a View Only here. Your contact will need the new version as well to use the new features.

Good Afternoon and Good Luck!

CrossLoop 1.1 Download Closed

As per my earlier post on the limited release of our spanking new version 1.1, we have now closed the invitation to download it.

We have been very fortunate to see some excellent interest for it and have a large number of users using it to give us feedback. We have been and are looking at their feedback closely to ensure we bring the best to all of our users, like you. If you were one of those who submitted your feedback at the end of the session, you would have heard from me that we are seeing most of our users coming back with their excellent experience with v1.1!

We also continue to see excellent reviews of the new version - here are a few:

  • By Thomas - a Technical Writer at Microsoft's Office Live Meeting Team here,
  • By Amit at Digital Inspiration here
  • By Gabo in Spanish here
  • By Ryan Wagner at CyberNet News here
  • By Peter Butler at Download.com here
  • By Mark Kaelin at TechRepublic here
  • By Efendi here
  • By Svetlana on Profy here

Based on what we are seeing so far, I would anticipate a release to everyone earlier than later. We will announce it here and message all our users when they run CrossLoop to upgrade to the new version.
